Years ago I spliced into the rear loom on a pickup to put a livestock trailer plug in and I used those things. I even taped them up really well. Wow, never again. I fought dead ends until I yanked it out and started over.
I have found several instances where they were used inside and had respectable service from them. Just to be safe, I don't use them any longer.
Nice job on the install. Will make blowing snow a little nicer!
