E. Kansas
Over-the-air TV, never had cable/dish here. Using same antenna on tower, with rotor and booster, that's been here for ages. Works perfectly when hooked to a HDTV for the channels available.

All the networks, advertisers, franchises, etc who get money from paid TV can find their money elsewhere. No need here to have several shopping and sports channels, liberal/political "news" channels, Weather Channel always carrying on about how severe every storm is that's currently in existence, etc. and still not have anything on to watch.

TV can be turned off if nothing is on to watch, but do want the option of watching TV. If TV is off, it's not like some subscription is going unused. Internet used here all the time.

Life goes on here just fine without paying ridiculous amounts of $ to watch TV.

As Springsteen said, "57 Channels and nothin' on".
