We ran a 4450 and 4850. Both good tractors. the 4450 never gave a sniff of problems. In fact in the 8 years we ran it I think the hydraulic pump was the only thing that bothered. The 48 shelled the tranny main shaft while on the field cultivator. We speculate the tranny was about to go after some rather aggressive work with the dirt scraper and having fluid in the outer duals. My pleas to keep the fluid out of the duals were rejected due to high school age and overall stupidity. Live and learn i guess. | |
