Subject: RE: anhydrous ammonia price

South-central Nebraska
I don't look at it as our dealers trying to screw the farmer. They were protecting themselves buying last spring at the given prices and getting product in hand for producers to lock in to protect themselves with fertilizer to apply. In many cases, including mine, much cheaper than what was anticipated to be by late summer, fall and into spring of 2009.

What if dealers didn't buy much last spring and prices were at $1500 per ton now and dealers weren't even sure thay could get ANY by spring. Producers would complain about price and availability then too.
