deep SW On. | Rough numbers but Canadian farm debt is up like 3x as much as in '80's crash and we have at least 50% fewer farms so a lot of farms are carrying 6x debt they had in '80's ,cheap interest is keeping the boats afloat as a 3 or 6 point rise in interest rates will put a lot of hurt out there and us older guys never did borrow money yrs. ago for less than double digit.....Canadian farmers got free pass with our cheap dollar.....no slow down around here for guys wanting more land at any cost | |
