Lapel, In
Things I recall :the 4000 was $800 cheaper than a 4020.Maybe $600 ? The difference that I remember were 3020 three point parts,a single SCV, 16.9 tires,an open battery case without sides and 4010 wheels used in place of the heavier 4020 castings. Seems like the rockshaft covers were different too. More open ?Maybe I should dig out my old Deere Service School books ? I think the differences were listed in one of them. Tractor sales were kind of soft in that time due to drought(mainly in Iowa I think) and the northern corn blight and it was Deere's way to try selling more thactors.
