I am with a different but similar sharing system. Like you I have no first hand experience with large bills being paid or not. But I would think in today's anti-Christian media environment if it was common we would be hearing about it all the time.
The one I am with has paid out or negotiated down $1.4 billion in medical bills since it was formed 20 years ago.
