I thing the biggest thing is getting more HP out of a in^3. Old engines
used 20 plus to one compression. some of the new engines are down
in the area of 15 to 1 so turbo can get more air into piston. Think
about 14.5 to one is the low point for a diesel to start a normal
summer temperatures.
