Scranton
Once a week my butt. This thing is in the air constantly. I'm on the flight path from DM to Carroll Iowa, and it goes over us at least once a day on average. That's one hospital of maybe 20-50 that it services.

Even given the numbers you chose, there is zero justification for bills this high...all it is is a money grab from insurance and medicare...i'll bet they bill medicare way higher knowing they'll collect 80%.

Your numbers:

Helo : $2,000,000 ...five year life span = 8,000 depreciation per week...figure 8000 in operating expenses
Pilots: 2 at 100,000/year = 4000/week
med personnel (3 @ 100k/year avg) = 6000/week

That's 26000/week...so the supposed "once a week" run returns 75000/week, or $4,000,000/year.

Yeah, that's a real money loser.
