first make sure the pto is turning. As others said a double stick will need range selector in neutral, transmission in any gear suitable to lift. Does it have a pto shaft? If so the output from pump will most likely have two shafts out the back side. One turns one way the other opposite if memory serves. Can hook to either one if going wrong way.
