Ted, I'm not very familiar with the intricacies of civil air evac operations. But, I'd guess that crew of 3 is really a crew of more like 9, to support one helo. They've got to operate more like an alert fighter base, with one set of people ready to jump in and launch at a moment's notice, and others in rest or at home to come in and take the next shift.
