I ask this because last year I "parked" (pulled the plug) on my folks still good working Deep Freeze brand chest freezer that has been in continuous use for 68 years. It is a little plain white chest freezer that cost $425 in 1948. A check with an inflation calculator tells me that would be something over $4,000 today. If that freezer was setting brand new on the floor at Menards with a $4000+ price tag on it, would you or I buy it when their were much cheaper models on the floor ? |
