IL | Took off a couple days to watch our college daughters last volleyball tournament of the season, her Junior year. We try to not miss any of her home games. She gets to travel and play with her team in tournaments in Austrailia, over winter break. Plus her multitude of diverse college activities, including writing for the school paper, and being involved with the theater dept..
Our HS senior son had to be home to march in the band at the home football playoff game. While we were gone , he hauled a load of beans to the elevator before the game, then cut refilled things after the game, till dark. I never worried a bit ( ok maybe a little), and got this pic at our games.
(and had a tire blowout at the elevator, so went to another farm to get a spare wagon out to fill in for the downer)
I'll be without him next year as he goes to college. gonna miss that kid. Although he claims he can come home over the weekend to help. Not counting on it, as he plans on working with the judging team.
Today things just clicked that I guess our kids didn't turn out too bad after all, in spite of our mistakes
and we're older than we want to admit
