I agree with ya'll on the fmd issue.

I don't see where importing from Brazil will have any real impact on our beef prices. It just provides one importer the advantage of having two locations to ship from and play the currency game. There will be a trade off between Australia and Brazil and the import will come from who has the best value in their currency. We aren't adding beef, we are replacing it.

The feedlot growth does not look to be significant. What growth they will have will be consumed locally or shipped to the Asian markets. The aussies feed out 1/3 of their beef and it doesn't flow in here but does head northwest.
