Freedom, WI | Here is a thought that has been rolling around my mind, it may or may not be unique to our situation, but how cheap can you actually go with a low cost parlor? I know there are some who would have a hard time putting in a retrofit parlor (us included) so what would it really cost to build a shell for a parlor and install one? We could get a double 6 and some more claws for next to nothing, but we just don't have a good place to put it that would have good cow traffic so the building would have to be new and right next to the existing milkhouse. Thought this could maybe get some good discussion and ideas going, I think of it when I get kicked milking in the stall barn! haha | |
