Subject: RE: Manual vs Self-catch headgates

NW Kansas
Another problem with self catch is when your using cidr and ai. Running them through the chute twice close together they don't like hitting that head gate very well. I had a for most self catch cause that's what everyone said to get. I hated that thing. Put it on a maternity pen and got a manual on the chute now. Way better. Like another said earlier. Same head gate with no audjusting will catch 150 lbs calf up to the bulls.
