Beresford, SD | Dad got done combining his beans....on to mine. First field, my rye graze out beans. This 68.9 acre fields was planted to rye last fall, grazed 200 head of 5 wt. heifers on it for a short two months this spring. Field finished twice on May 23rd. Lumps, and as hard a concrete 4 inches down. (I was not optimistic) very muddy when grazing. Planted May 24th to 2733 asgrows. All but one load across the scale........gonna be pushing 82 bpa. Unreal. Beans......plant them in lumps and concrete they just don't care. No additional fertilizer, no pre, two shot of R-up, foliar, fungicide, insecticide, and the full gamut on the seed. Just WOW! | |
