| NC Granville, to me "Reputation Outfit" means they have a reputation for having consistently good calves or cattle. They are on the same program year after year. For example yesterday there were 175 cows that sold from one place. They run around 2000 or so cows. They sold their calves the other day weighing 575 to a little over 700 lbs. they sell about tame time each year etc Every year about this time they also sell 150 to 200 mostly broken mouth cows. So, to sum it up, for me anyway, you know what you are getting. They have good quality cattle and most times have a closed herd. They aren't continually buying cattle from other places and turning them. They just run the same program year after year after year. Hope that helps.
