Bought a new one in 2002. It's still running today. Usually does 150-300 acres of dry hay / baleage -- 2 to 4 cuttings of grass and alfalfa -- and maybe 500 cornstalk bales each year. Had a bunch of Prevent Plant in 2013, so it raked somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 bales of ryegrass and clover baleage, too. It replaced an H&S, which replaced a carted Gehl (318 maybe?) before that. The WR700 has been much better than those two. The H&S ate teeth like crazy and the wings on the Gehl cart were way too light and needed welding frequently.

The 16-wheel is an awkward beast for corners and small fields. Easiest to raise up and back it up to do corners than try to drive and rake your way straight through them. But it did a nice job of making windrows compared to the H&S. For cornstalks, it's an excellent machine. We usually put 10 to 12 30" rows together per windrow. Best part of all those wheels is that you don't have to run it at the widest angle.

A cousin runs a welding shop. He said they pretty much see every brand of rake in there to weld at some point. The big square tube across the back of the frame on the WR700 gave out at Year 10. Tonutti didn't have a replacement available, so my cousin made one for it, which has worked great since. We had also welded on the side frames in the past after a couple of badger mound interactions. It was about $12,000 new in 2002. The 700 Series rakes came with heavier teeth than the 600's at that time.
