Watkinsville, GA | To be just honest as I can. There is a lot of factors that goes into what the final payment to us is. Lots of numbers (feed conversion, mortality, culls, and pounds that cross the scale)and I'm not sure that I completely understand all of them. I'm sure my dad does. Haha. Our 3 bigger houses are on a higher pay contract than the small ones due to the computers that run them. As far as the upgrades. No we didn't get any reimbursement for the upgrades. Although they will probably save us some money in the long run. And yes we were required to do them because some new text book smart fella that got hired on at the company thinks it will help grow a better bird. Who know if it's going to be any diff! Went to all LED lighting and had to add more lights, solid wall sides or black/white curtains. Just several new things that didn't add up to much just a little more work for us. But we got it all done. Glad to have the birds back. | |
