More than likely somebody in the DP transaction chain someone had a earler long futures position that would be liquidated when they bought the cash which would wash out the long from the elevator holding the bag on the DP contract.
Not all places are going to get 90% recovery . Might want to check with folks who dealt with MO grain buyers and how they were treated when things went sour.
