North Central Texas | Like eight said it's for the show ring. Long uniform horns sell to people who want to put them in their backyard and look at them.
If a neighbor that shouldn't own cows around here asks to borrow your trailer, you always ask if they are hauling a longhorn. If they say yes I say no. Learned that the hard way.
Longhorn bulls tend to disappear in this area, especially if they are prone to getting out and breeding the neighbors cows.
