I have an old friend in NW Iowa that had a huge longhorn as a show steer.  Pretty good temperament, but I know one time a visitor had his hands on the fence and must have done something to bother the steer, because in the blink of an eye that steer swung his head a little and smashed his little finger hanging over the fence with the tip of his horn.
