Subject: RE: Corn piles

West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
Elevators and farmers have piled corn on the ground here ever since I can remember, it's no big deal here. Back in the late 60's a lot of corn was picked and piled in temporary cribs made out of the old lath snow fence. Then some time during the winter it was shelled, sometimes a dryer was pulled into the field to dry the corn after shelling if needed and sold...or binned.

FWIW, I've been hauling a few loads of soybeans to the river, I drive in and out, no waiting. Why I have no idea, it should be an hour wait at least.
