SCIA | Had Gleaners from the time I was 11, until 76. We owned 4 or five at most times. Needed that many to keep 2 or 3 running. Had one one that fist "L's", 72 was the model year. When I finally got mad and told Dad that we had left enough corn on the ground to pay for a new 7700 and heads in the first 400 acres, in the fall of '76, Deere would NOT take that piece of junk on trade. So, we bought it out right and gave the L to my older brother, who was farming in MO at that time. That combine hastened the demise of his farming operation. | |
