Washington Co Ks | Kansas did away with property tax on farm equipment and livestock a number of years ago. While I support that for some things that this money was used for I think that there is a good reason to tax livestock and equipment for road money. The more livestock you have the more trucks are coming and going on the local roads. The more and bigger equipment you have the harder your are on the roads. I see no connection between the ownership of property and education of children for example but roads are a different thing. | |
