It's ridiculous the way taxes which are charged for specific uses, such as the gas tax supposedly going to road upkeep, etc., basically get large percentages stolen and funneled off somewhere else. Doesn't seem like those responsible for making the switch ever get held accountable. That's exactly why I never vote for a tax increase of any type. Too many lies and deception before to ever make me believe it won't be more of the same, or ridiculous cost overruns, reckless spending, etc. when they get the windfall of another tax.
Schools will never have enough money. They'll spend every $ and more that they get.
Most people have no idea what a defined benefit retirement even means, and how much it costs the taxpayer to provide them.
