NW MN | Used trailers are rarely worth it if you can afford new. Used owners typically think they are worth as much or more than a new one, or discount it less than the set of tires and brakes it needs would cost.
I bought a used 14k deck over about 5 years ago. I could't swing new so I compromised on a used that was not quite as big as I wanted. 5 years down the road I've done bearings, brakes, tires, misc other repairs and have more in it than a new one just the way I wanted it would have been. Interest on a loan to get exactly what I needed at that time looks cheap compared to what I've spent.
If you have a semi 13-15k can buy a lot of step decks or older lowboys and then you have some real hauling capacity. | |
