Are Diamond C trailers any good? Is it true there are no bargains on used trailers?

Used trailers are rarely worth it if you can afford new. Used owners typically think they are worth as much or more than a new one, or discount it less than the set of tires and brakes it needs would cost.

I bought a used 14k deck over about 5 years ago. I could't swing new so I compromised on a used that was not quite as big as I wanted. 5 years down the road I've done bearings, brakes, tires, misc other repairs and have more in it than a new one just the way I wanted it would have been. Interest on a loan to get exactly what I needed at that time looks cheap compared to what I've spent.

If you have a semi 13-15k can buy a lot of step decks or older lowboys and then you have some real hauling capacity.
