I've seen before where a person is better off to have their spouse if they were the higher income earner file and suspend, allowing the lower income earner to collect half the spouses benefit, while the spouses then defers to a later age, growing 8% each year. A persons health really does make the the biggest part of the decision for you. But age 66 is a nice middle of the road approach.
