Wardsville, Ontario, Canada | Did a bit of corn on Wednesday and switched to beans on Thursday. Got 45 acres done, not a lot by some of you guys' standards, but we didn't start till 3:00. Was going to plant some wheat today, but it started sprinkling in the morning and I backed the drill back in the shed. Started raining steady about 4:00 this afternoon and hasn't stopped yet. I remember 1992 as a wet year, but I believe this is the worst yet. May have to wait for a good freeze before we can go on most of the ground we have left to combine. It is going to be tough and there is a lot of us in the same boat, so to speak. Hang in there. |
