Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | The answer depends on the kid. My sons are 6 and 9 right now. I've put the six year old in a tractor by himself when he was 5, but at this point I still wouldn't send the 9 year old on his own. They're different kids that think and react differently. You have to judge what each kid is or isn't ready for on an individual basis.
