Hwy 43 is Main street in Joplin, I wouldnt want to drag it through all the stoplights in downtown Joplin.
At Crestline at the junction of 160 and hwy 400 you can take hwy YY east, cross over hwy 171 and take 96 east to hwy 43 then go north on 43 to 54.
Yes,43 thru Joplin doesn't work.....Or at Crestline take 400 north on up to the south edge of Pittsburg....Then go east on 171 to Opolis ....After getting in to MO then immediately go east on H which goes over to 43...Then take 43 north to Nevada..43 is a nice road..
That gets him out of crossing 171 at that mean railroad track north of Carl Jct....I've sat there a long time waiting on traffic...It also keeps him out of the 96-43 traffic circle...
I dont recommend anyone going thru Fort Scott as the DOT used to hang at the 54-69 junction..
