One of the benefits of traited corns can be the yield protection of the crop safety of post applied products. Obviously, if there is no insect pressure, insect protection has no value. If you have no need for post applied herbicides, herbicide tolerance is of no value.

We did see in SE Ohio yield improvements with CRW protected corn in 2 year rotations in the past when we had no pressure that we were aware of even though we would see beetles every year.

Really it is a personal choice and evaluation in those cases.
