There are some guys around here that claim pell lime mix with starter fertilizer band increase snap bean yield.  About 10 years ago I banded pell lime with starter on soybean in a plot and pick up a few bushel per acre. dThen I stopped growing irrigated  soybeans, This is all on low CEC soils that are irrigated. The thinking is on low CEC soils the Ca helps
