Central Illinois | Similar to Dale's setup, we have a 3 bar harrow just in front of the rolling baskets. Around us everyone uses rolling baskets behind the Field cultivator to smooth the FC's furrows. We are on our 3rd set of FC's with rolling baskets and have found out that the faster you can pull them, the better they work.
In wet conditions however, where the tractor tires run, they can pack with mud. But we have never had any problems with bearings and in 3 years have yet to replace them | |
