| I had a lot of trouble this year. The milo had something (chichbugs, or something) that caused a lot of the kernals to be very small, basically fluff, as you said. I ended up running the fan wide open, and the chaffer about 9 and the sieve about 6 or 7. Still a lot of tailings, and if I pushed the speed as all, it would plug. From looking at the material in the tailings, I did not want it in the bin, or my test weight would have been 50 pounds, but apparently there was enough of a kernal that it will grow, as I have the best stand of a covercrop volunteer you can want (sarcasm). Note this was on a 9760. | |
