I agree if you can wait for a frost wait, if not we used to have a L-2 gleaner with the modified bars(every other bar cut out and the rest hard faced) that was one weed eating machine bars were worn out local short line guy talked me into his bars which were supposed to be "BETTER" well after 30 acres and many chock up's I put the old bars back in and never stopped the rest of the season, now this was back before RR beans, we have a rotor now and its best to wait for a frost if they are weedy.
