I believe the words"not for parking" are just a suggestion to eliminate problems mentioned earlier. On some trucks when you pull the yellow both pop out. I usually press my thumb on the red as I pull the yellow so this does not happen. Sometimes if the grade is just right you need both applied because the front driver might not have much weigh on it.
