What makes you say the board was slowly burning up?
Now I'm wishing I would have inspected it a little better prior to the failure.
When you repair/replace that board,it may pay to rig up a little computer fan to blow cool air over that failure prone board., plus any others that show heat damage.
Also make sure the starting batteries are connected any time the engine is running, Voltage spikes from no load on the DC system can fry solid state electronics. |
