Subject: End rows versus entire field averages

Monroe City, MO

Anyone every keep track of your end row yield separate from the rest of the field? I shelled around a 44 acre field last week. About 1/2 the field had brush alongside. Deer and other critters are present as well.

First 8 rows around field averaged 75 bpa. Second 8 rows inside that doubled to 150 bpa. Third and forth pass was slightly better than the second. After all the end rows were done the field hits between 200 and 225 pretty consistently. Not done yet but expect field to average 170-180. Those 8 rows around the outside besides being a pretty good percentage of the field really kill the average.
