Short season corn, that is corn below 111 day in eastern central Nebraska, is a disaster no matter what the hybrid. Long season corn, 111-120, is the big winner in 2016 due to hot June temps.
I think you're painting with a broad brush, there. I've got some 106 and 107 day I'll get into this week that looks better than about anything else I've got.
