Those tractors are as likely as any to go to 10000hrs, I've seen them with that many and haven't been touched, also others that seemed to have gremlins. If it's been treated right and taken care of in it's previous life it should be fine. Keep the planetary's and axles sealed up and full with a good synthetic oil, Change it on occation. If it's a power shift all the better in my opinion, the clutch problems go way down. The Cummin's engine is not expensive to work on, and as I remember they are mechanical instead of electronic, in myopinion for old tractors, no electroinc connections to get corroded.
