southern MN | Last decade attendance has dropped a lot. Some long term die hard fans like me, others on this site, and sounds like you too, got bored with the new agenda NASCAR started. They want 30 second talking points so there is more coverage on more networks. Which totally killed the enjoyment of the whole season, and the enjoyment of the race of the week.
However, today's attendance would be really low - it was rained out last evening this is a makeup race, and with the hurricane going by a lot of folks are otherwise occupied......
All motorsoprts has kind of faded to minor side networks that are difficult to see any more. The heads of NASCAR, F1, Indy, etc have chased quick term high dollar contracts which I understand, but long term their sport is dwindling on the current courses they have laid out.
