S.E. Sask.

Not a pleasant sight out in the fields that got hit by snow. We only had about 4 inches snow but it was wet and heavy. Actually broke branches off the lilacs. My flax has some flattened areas. The only field of standing canola I saw appeared to still be mostly standing but it will be a challenge having to cut so low to get it all. Most of the snow has melted as of yesterday, soaking into the swaths. No great drying weather all week and its not looking good for the coming week. 75 to 80 percent complete seems to be the figure I am hearing for the province but of course that varies by area.
