Ideal amount would be 100% full retail replacement cost; but who determines replacement cost at time of loss- you or the ins. co.?
It you’re at 80% & have a claim, they may arbitrarily raise the cost & you get penalized.
I’m pretty much disgusted with all types of insurance! :-)
It’s gambling & a crap shoot.
Raised the deductible on property to save a little dough & hail takes out three roofs that season.
Left six grand on the table. :-( | |
