Central Ga | That is strange that the immature bolls opened better than the mature ones. We often defoliate and open bolls in cool conditions. It is not unusual for us to spray cotton planted behind wheat a few days before the first expected frost. A full rate of Ethephon, six ounces of Folex, and six ounces of Ginstar, along with a good surfactant has always done well for us. I have seen it take three weeks to get the bolls open. I just started using a high boy last year and did not do any real late. All of the late stuff that I have ever done was put out with the plane and five gallons of water. | |
