I spray mine every fall with Trimec or Strike 3.
1 to 1.5 oz chemical per gallon of water, sprayed at 20 psi through floodjet nozzles, slow enough to wet the grass (but not saturated).
Kills every broadleaf I have (dandelions, clover, creeping charlie, chickweed, woody nightshade, burdock, etc).
