PB, not sure if it helps with turning to get a little more grip. The Kvernland ones i ran in europe we were always turning around in a sloppy mess and the wheel turned one way or the other to make a nice tight turn. Im just guessing here but i think it would of slid all over if it was not a grip type tire. they are fun to run and easy to make no dead furrows.
