North of London | Not sure where you are in relation to observatories but sometimes they will try tracking down where a large meteor landed.
University in London has asked people for where they saw one in the past so they could fix the location of where any debris might have fallen.
Keep an ear open if any one is looking for the landing area.
They can be quite spectacular when a large one burns through the atmosphere.
Saw one many years ago from the seat of an open station tractor, lit up the ground better than the old tractors lights did. | |
