Is this notill? Your planting date is not late so I'm wondering why your maturity is delayed
Steve, this was no-till planted into alfalfa ground. The corn up on the side hill came up fast, but in the low ground it struggled. The low ground was mostly grass, very little alfalfa. It was one of the damist things i have ever seen, there for the longest time you couldn't see much corn comming in that low spot looking from the road, just a plant here and there, i thought that there wasn't much hope, then all of a sudden it started to take off, not a full stand by any means, about 16 to 21k out of 26k planted, but as you said it delayed the maturity.
don't think this corn will make it
